  15.   Hope that someone out there can help me with a problem that seems to 
  16. be gettin worse :((

  18.  My setup is as follows :-
  19. A1200 + 030 + 6meg 
  20. 1 overdrive (420)
  21. 2 external HD`s (2*540)
  22. 1 external floppy
  23. 1 external High Density Floppy
  24.  
  25. The problem seem to be READ ERRORS especially if the disk has been 
  26. inserted in drive 1, I can format a disk in drive 0 with no errors then 
  27. insert it in to drive 1 and its fine, take it out and put it in D1 l8er
  28. and it comes up with a read error on block 880!... beginning to become 
  29. a pain in the arse coz if i write anything to the disk in D1 it then 
  30. seems to take on read errors all over the place.

  32. I am not to sure whether the problem could lie in the fact that the 
  33. Overdrive takes its power from the Floppy port and the connections are 
  34. a bit tight (bloody stupid idea). maybe someone could tell me the 
  35. voltage and polarity needed so that i could use an adapter for the 
  36. overdrive and get rid of the silly lead or maybe if someone knows 
  37. whether archos have a web/ftp/email address that i can contact them and 
  38. ask them
